Law School is Easy

A former co-worker came by the other day to say hello to everyone. I knew that he was planning on going to law school after graduation, so I immediately hit him up about it. He rambled on about how easy it was and it was mainly kids. He told me that I would do just fine and not to worry about it. He said that as much as I studied in undergrad, this wouldn't be any worse.

Did he finish the first semester? No. Was he going full time? No. He was working full time and over the course of the semester, his job began requiring lots of travel, so he decided to quit. As he admitted, one really needs to be able to attend class and do the reading to ensure success. Also, he was travelling to really cool places and the job pays well, so law school didn't seem as important.

Did I feel any better after his visit? Nope!

Hmph.

I have to say that 1L was definitely harder than undegrad, but still TOTALLY doable. And having worked hard in undergrad, you'll be in fine shape to kick it up a notch. Good luck!

I went to law school. It was easy. I was in and out, got everything I wanted right away. I don't see what the big deal is. I'd say it was "ride that elevator up, git your stuff 'n go". Took no time, no effort.

Frill, do you know what books for our 1L classes to buy yet? I think we should buy them online early so we could get them on time for classes. I rather not purchase them at the school bookstore. ;-)

Monsieur - we're not going to find out our sections until orientation, so I think that there will be some stuff that we'll either have to copy at the library or suck it up and pay out the ass for. Profs are beginning to post first class assignments, but so far it's very incomplete. It's kind of disheartening. Email me so maybe we can figure out the cheapest way. I work at a copy shop, so I've already printed the Texas penal code. Saving all the money I can is a big issue for me right now, so maybe if we pool our resources, we can come up with some money saving ideas.
